The walls of The Devil’s Backbone Tavern and its structures hold a lot of good stories. On our property you’ll find four unique spaces, each restored with careful detail to preserve its Tex-ccentricity. We have been the backdrop for major TEXAS brand shoots, Videos and Movies.
The Devil’s Backbone Tavern- Once an 1800’s stagecoach stop, our little bar started serving during the prohibition era, and hasn’t stopped yet.
The Dance Hall- True Texas dance halls are an endangered species, and we’re proud home to one. Built in the 1940’s and recently restored, this space is the perfect spot to both two-step and take your next big step.
The Sinclair Gas Station - Our restored 1940’s Sinclair gas station, when it opened gas was 19 cents a gallon.
The Velvet Pearl - Our 1930’s cottage sits up on a hill behind the tavern, and walking through the doors is a blast from the past. (Photos from Sendero Provisions Shoot)
